1. Statement of Intent


Calentra Holdings Limited is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, subsidiary personnel, visitors, and any other persons affected by its operations.

The company recognises its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations and is committed to maintaining safe systems of work and a safe operating environment across all group activities.

Calentra Holdings Limited provides governance, oversight, and strategic direction to its subsidiary companies and is committed to ensuring appropriate health and safety standards are maintained throughout the group.


2. Responsibilities


2.1 Company Responsibilities

Calentra Holdings Limited will:

  • Provide leadership and oversight in relation to health and safety across the group
  • Ensure subsidiary companies implement appropriate health and safety procedures
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and risk awareness
  • Ensure compliance with applicable UK health and safety legislation
  • Review health and safety performance periodically


2.2 Management Responsibilities

Management will:

  • Ensure appropriate health and safety systems are implemented
  • Identify hazards and implement control measures
  • Ensure safe systems of work are established
  • Monitor health and safety compliance
  • Ensure contractors and subsidiaries operate safely


2.3 Employee Responsibilities

Employees and contractors must:

  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety
  • Take reasonable care for others affected by their actions
  • Follow company safety procedures
  • Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions
  • Cooperate with health and safety requirements


3. Risk Management

Calentra Holdings Limited supports the implementation of risk assessment processes to:

  • Identify hazards
  • Assess risks
  • Implement control measures
  • Review risks periodically

Subsidiary companies are responsible for conducting operational risk assessments relevant to their activities.


4. Safe Systems of Work

The company promotes safe systems of work including:

  • Appropriate training and instruction
  • Risk assessment implementation
  • Incident reporting procedures
  • Contractor safety management
  • Compliance with relevant legislation


5. Incident Reporting

All incidents, accidents, and near misses should be reported promptly through the appropriate subsidiary reporting procedures.

Where required, incidents will be reported in accordance with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013).


6. Training and Competence

Calentra Holdings Limited supports ensuring that personnel across its subsidiaries are competent to perform their roles safely through:

  • Training
  • Instruction
  • Supervision


7. Monitoring and Review

Health and safety performance will be reviewed periodically to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

This policy will be reviewed annually or when significant changes occur.

  • Employees
  • Contractors
  • Visitors

Subsidiaries are responsible for implementing operational health and safety procedures appropriate to their activities.
